Co-founded by James Jones and Craig Erickson in Charleston, South Carolina, The Trapman Company sold its client portfolio to the Dutch conglomerate VNU in 1995 (rebranded The Nielsen Company in 2007). The company has developed numerous products for Nielsen and Luminate Data, including ArtistDiscovery, BDSexpress, BDS Preferred Data, BDSradio, and Music Connect Canada.
